Mata wants new contract talks at Valencia

Juan Mata is growing frustrated at the lack of progress over new contract talks with Valencia.

The midfielder has enjoyed an outstanding 12 months at the Mestalla, but remains on the relatively low salary of £400,000.

Mata, who has been linked with Barcelona and Inter Milan, is seeking clear-the-air talks with Valencia management about his status, says Marca.

thought valencia are close to receivership, surely they cant afford to offer new contracts.
