Juan Mata is seeking new contract talks with Valencia.

The former Real Madrid midfielder has been outstanding for Valencia this season and yesterday declared he hoped to be offered an improved deal.

As yet, however, Valencia are yet to make contact with Mata's minders about opening negotiations.
