Juan Mata is confident Manchester United fans will see his best this season.
Mata scored in the friendly win over AS Roma.
"It was difficult last season," said Mata. "When I arrived it was a difficult time for the club. The club had changed managers but didn't get the results.
"Now we're starting a new season with a new manager and we aim to put the club back where it deserves to be - which is fighting at the top.
"Things are changing and everyone is finding their new role in the team.
"If I play behind the two strikers I feel comfortable. It's a good position for me. I can look for the ball, I can try to assist or score. I will try to score as much as I can and try to help the team from that position.
"I've played on the left or right, but my best season was when I played in that position at Chelsea under Rafa Benitez."
