Newcastle United fullback Massadio Haidara could play again this season.
Haidara was on the end of a horror challenge from Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman on Sunday.
The Daily Star says while he has sustained significant tissue damage, the injury is not as serious as first feared and early indications are he could play again this season.
