Javier Mascherano wants to prove his worth at Liverpool.
The Argie, fresh from squeezing into the World Cup finals, is desperate to put Liverpool back on track after defeats by Chelsea in the league and Fiorentina in Europe.
Mascherano said: "I'm fighting all the way for a regular place because I want to be in the title race. We can win it.
"After that I can't wait for the World Cup. Many people did not believe we would make it.
"But we will be in South Africa and you find the Argentine squad is different during a World Cup.
"I certainly don't fear England, Germany or Spain."
