Javier Mascherano has been passed fit to play in Liverpool's opening Champions League clash on Wednesday.
The Argentine's return from international duties was delayed as he was struggling with a pelvis problem but he has been cleared to take on Hungarian outfit Debrecen at Anfield.
Despite going to play for Argentina in World Cup qualifiers last week with a slight injury and missing the Reds win over Burnley on Saturday, Mascherano is available according to manager Rafael Benitez.
"He went to South America with a slight problem, and played the game. Afterwards he needed to check it out, so we decided he should do it over there, and miss our game at the weekend," Benitez explained.
"But it is not serious, it is only a minor thing and he will be fit to play in the Champions League this week."
