Mascherano delighted Maxi now Liverpool teammate
Javier Mascherano admits he's delighted Maxi Rodriguez has joined him at Liverpool.
The pair play together for Argentina.
"Personally I am very happy because he is a very close friend of mine, and also because I know he can bring something to Liverpool," 25-year-old Mascherano told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"It's good for me and it's good for the club. It will also be good for Emiliano Insua and Fernando Torres, who is a close friend of his, and that's important.
"I will try to help him in every way I can. I know it's not easy when you come to a new country with a new language and culture, but he has some friends like me and Fernando. He has our support."
