Marvin Sordell is determined to build on his first start for Burnley.

The former Bolton Wanderers striker featured in their 0-0 draw with Sunderland.

"Saturday was my first Premier League start, my first start in the league for the club, and it's something for me to build on, to keep on improving and learning," Sordell told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph. "I do that every day in training and every time I get the opportunity to play.

"There are always chances for everyone here, the gaffer said that from day one.

"As long as you keep working hard and you're always ready, your chance will come at any moment.

"He put me in on Saturday and hopefully I've done enough to get another opportunity."
