Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has held clear-the-air talks with Sylvain Marveaux.
The Evening Chronicle says both Evian and Nantes were prepared to take the winger on loan while Evian also wanted Gabriel Obertan but United refused a deal due to Jonas Gutierrez's departure to Norwich City.
Marveaux has since cleared the air with Pardew.
