Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez will not consider selling any of his players in January.
The Latics have been the go-to club in the past year for big guns wanting to bolster their ranks.
Emile Heskey, Wilson Palacios, Lee Cattermole and Antonio Valencia have all been flogged in the for a total of £38m.
But now Martinez has been given the green light to stop the exodus, starting by telling Sunderland chief Steve Bruce to give up on his chase for left-back Maynor Figueroa, says the News of the World.
He said: "We want to be strengthening the squad instead of losing people and we shouldn't lose anyone in January.''
