Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is ready to make a Spaniard his first signing since moving to the DW stadium.

Martinez has already lined up four new signings and will complete the first when he pays Espanyol £1.5million for 24-year-old midfielder Jordi Gomez, who impressed under him on loan at Swansea last season, says the Daily Mail.
