Martinez urges Everton to take advantage against Dynamo Kyiv

Roberto Martinez has implored his Everton side to make the most of their home tie in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The Toffees host Ukraine's Dynamo Kyiv in the round of 16 first leg at Goodison Park and Martinez wants a solid performance as they strive to go as far as possible in Europe's second tier club competition.

"We are in that period of the season where every game is vital for us," he said. "We are thinking about Dynamo Kiev and trying to get into the final of this competition.

"We need to focus on this game. Playing at home is an advantage and we need to try and use.

"Dynamo are unbeaten in their league. The way they have been playing is going to make a really interesting test for us. We have to focus on that game only.

"We are enjoying our football in Europe. We have not sneaked into this position. We need to be at our very, very best and take an advantage from the first leg."
