Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez is backing Arouna Kone to become a prolific goalscorer for the club.
The 28-year old Ivory Coast striker joined the Latics for around £4million in the summer and has netted twice in his first five outings but Martinez is tipping him for much more once his teammates become accustomed to his style of play.
"Arouna is a top goalscorer," Martinez told ESPN.
"If anything, we need to develop an understanding of his play and the players around him to get the best out of his ability. He's a powerful player.
"He's ready, he's experienced. He's played in Holland, Germany and Spain already."
