Roberto Martinez is set to take over as manager of Wigan Athletic.

Latics chairman Dave Whelan has confirmed that the Swansea boss will sign with the club for three years and is delighted to have him on board.

"I am very excited about securing the services of Roberto Martinez. I hold him in the highest regard," Whelan told Sky.
