Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez holds no grudge against West Bromwich Albion midfielder Paul Scharner.

Scharner quit the Latics for Albion in the summer.

Before Wigan's victory yesterday, Martinez insisted: "I think it was right time for him to leave. He wanted to move on to a different challenge and felt he had been here long enough.

"Sometimes as a player you feel that way, and you have to respect that."
