Roberto Martinez was proud that Wigan Athletic were not a 'selling' club during the January transfer window.
The Spaniard was delighted he was able to keep hold of his top players, in particular Charles N'Zogbia, as he strives to push his Latics out of the relegation zone.
N'Zogbia was one of the keys for Wigan in their 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night, scoring the vital equaliser in the 20th minute after Peter Odemwingie earlier put the Baggies ahead, and Martinez was quick to sing his praises of the club following the match.
"Our intention this window was to finish with a stronger squad," he said.
"We had two major objectives, getting all the players back from injury, and we didn't want to lose any of the prize assets. We managed to do that.
"In the past, the fans have been a bit disappointed at losing players at the wrong time.
"Everyone is proud that Wigan showed a bit of a statement by keeping the players for the important challenges we have at the moment."
