Everton boss Roberto Martinez was pleased to give some of his young players a chance in their FA Cup win over Doncaster Rovers.

Both striker Leandro Rodriguez and defender Matthew Pennington saw action late on.

Martinez stated: "Matthew Pennington is a young centre-half but is in a good moment of form and it was great to see him perform in that manner when he came on.

"Then, to see Leandro Rodriguez, who has had a tough six months adapting to the British game, was also a big plus. He will take inspiration from just being out at Goodison Park."
