Martinez knows Wigan will face motivated Man City

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez knows they will be facing a motivated Manchester City tonight.

Last week's loss to Everton was City's first at home all season and he expects them to come back strongly.

Wigan need to keep them quiet to enhance their own survival claims but last week's defeat of struggling Burnley has eased their plight.

Martinez said: "They are coming on the back of a bad result but are in outstanding form at home and we will have to be at our best to compete with one of the best teams in the Premier League.

"As a team they have some of the best players from around the world and their manager is getting the best out of individuals.

"Everyone talks about their frustration against Everton but Everton are probably the form team in the Premier League.

"This is a one-off game and I expect Man City to be their normal brave selves and we are going to have to be at our very best."
