Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says an FA Cup semifinal appearance won't affect their survival bid.
With Wigan in the bottom three, there are fears that focusing on the trophy may take attention away from picking up precious points.
Martinez said: "We have an exciting journey between now and our last Premier League game.
"We need to make sure every game is linked up to each other, whether it is in the league or the FA Cup.
"We have some incredible chances in the league to increase our points tally. We have already made history in the FA Cup and need to carry on doing that.
"The league and the Cup go hand in hand for us - and success in one competition should help us to achieve our goals in the other."
