Everton boss Roberto Martinez refuses to give up on a top four finish.
Martinez refuses to be downcast and pointed to Manchester City's surge to the title in 2012 as proof that the gap can be closed.
When asked if fourth place is still achievable, the Blues boss replied: "It is, yeah. This season the league has never stopped surprising.
"A couple of years ago we saw a big gap of eight points cut down in a shorter period than this.
"There are many points to play for and what is really exciting is that we are at that moment of form where the team is starting to gel.
"If you look through the league, the fight for the title, the fight for the Champions League, the fight for Europe, the fight for relegation are all as close as they have been for a long, long time. That is credit to the league."
