Everton boss Roberto Martinez admits they could be active in the January market.
Long-term injuries to Arouna Kone and Darron Gibson mean Everton's numbers are slightly down, thrusting the manager's January strategy into focus.
"We want to add if the right player and the right character becomes available - but it's not a real need," said Martinez at his Thursday press conference. "What is important is that after the transfer window we are again stronger than when it opens and that will always be our focus.
"I am delighted with the players we have at the Club. We have a couple of long-term injuries with Arouna Kone and Darron Gibson but overall I am very, very pleased."
