Everton boss Roberto Martinez admits he will buy in January.

Any new arrivals will have to be the right fit for his new Blues.

"I think it's important that we do replace Darron Gibson and Arouna Kone," explained Martinez.

"I always felt that Arouna and Darron were very important in our plans this season so it would be a risk to go to the end of the season without either of those two players.

"I really feel strongly about that. But it's not about bringing in anyone.

"It's about bringing in the right personality so they don't dislodge or affect the good things that we have in the dressing room.

"We are in that position where we have a lot to lose if we bring the wrong people in, in the same way that we need to take advantage of being able to bring in a couple of new faces and maybe refresh that feeling in the dressing room."
