Marseille's Mandanda has Premiership ambition

Steve Mandanda, the best goalkeeper of the moment in France, has revealed that he plans to play Premier League football in the future.

The former Le Havre player spent a few days on trial at Aston Villa last summer, but Martin O'Neill did not wish to sign a player that has become a Ligue 1 star in the space of six months.

The 23-year-old also made his debut with France reserves and is expected to be part of Raymond Domenech's list of 23 players for Euro 2008.

Mandanda has revealed his love for Premier League football and he dreams to cross The Channel during a career that could be amazing.

"First of all I will try to impose myself at Marseille," he told France-Football.

"But in the future, that is true that England would tempt me.

"Because it is the most attractive league, the most exciting one."
