Marseille turn down big Tottenham offer for Remy

French club Marseille have rejected a substantial offer from Tottenham for Loic Remy.

Spurs have been very interested in the 25-year old striker recently and according to Marseille chairman Vincent Labrune made a massive offer which the Ligue 1 club had to turn down.

"In January, I have two deals to manage," he told French newspaper L'Equipe.

"That of Lucho [Gonzalez], who wanted to leave, and that of Remy, who Tottenham wanted to sign.

"I do not think any other president in France would have refused the enormous proposal the London club made."
