Marseille target Arsenal fullback Mathieu Debuchy for January

Olympique Marseille are targeting Arsenal fullback Mathieu Debuchy for January.

The Sun says he could be about to end his Arsenal nightmare as Rudi Garcia is interested in bringing him to Marseille in January.

Debuchy looks to be given a chance in Ligue 1, and could be set for a reunion with his old boss Garcia who he was successful with at Lille having won a league and cup double.

A switch to the Stade Velodrome in the Winter transfer window would be the second consecutive move to the French league under Arsene Wenger having went on loan to Bordeaux last season.

The full-back who has represented Les Blues on 27 occasions, was given his first start in over a year last Sunday in Arsenal's home tie against Bournemouth.

However, he lasted just 15 minutes after pulling up with a hamstring injury, adding to his woes at the Emirates.
