West Ham United are targeting Marseille defender Nicolas N'Koulou according to reports.
The 24-year old Cameroon international is being seen as a potential replacement for Winston Reid who appears likely to depart Upton Park at the end of the season.
N'Koulou has impressed in France's top flight in recent years and it is expected that Hammers boss Sam Allardyce will make a move for the international teammate of Barcelona loanee Alex Song in the winter transfer window.
West Ham recently signed Canadian youngster Doneil Henry from Apollon Limassol but he is seen as a player for the future rather than one ready to step into the Premier League cauldron if Reid happens to leave for a bigger club in the January transfer window or at the end of the season.
