Marseille's Ayew: Kind words from Arsenal's Wenger make me want to work harder

Marseille winger Andre Ayew was last week praised by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger following the meeting of the two clubs in the Champions League.

The 21-year old Ghana forward has been recently linked with the Gunners and although Wenger admitted he is not about to sign the player, he did speak highly of his ability which has humbled Ayew.

"I would be lying if I said I was not flattered by those words," Ayew told RMC. "Wenger is a great coach who has won titles with a very good club. He has done great things and has helped nurture good players.

"Taking that into consideration, those words please me and make me want to work even harder. They show that hard work pays off.

"I am still very young, I have a lot of steps to take."
