Olympique Marseille president Jacques-Henri Eyraud insists there's no plans to lose Maxime Lopez.

The young midfielder is being followed by Barcelona, Liverpool and Arsenal, among several European heavyweights.

But Eyraud says: "Of course we want to extend Maxime Lopez. He's a very handsome young man with exceptional technical qualities and someone who has a good mind.

"We would like him to be part of the long-term project, and he, too.

"I think he has a great place to play in this team and in this project. He was trusted, offered to join the professional team, he demonstrated all his qualities, all his abilities."
