Olympique Marseille owner Frank McCourt is delighted with their deal for Dimitri Payet.

The Boston billionaire bankrolled the €30 million transfer after lengthy negotiations with West Ham.

McCourt told Stade 2: "If I had thought he was too expensive I would not have given the go-ahead.

"I think it is a very good deal. This is a very strong sign that we can bring great talents to OM.

"We want big players at OM."
