Olympique Marseille midfielder Maxime Lopez has again spoken of an offer from Liverpool.

Lopez was courted by Liverpool last year and admits they discussed him eventually succeeding Philippe Coutinho.

And last night, he expanded on the offer with Canal Football Club.

Lopez said: "Liverpool came, they contacted me. I visited the facilities. They sell us dreams. They had made me meet Steven Gerrard. This was something exceptional.

"When I returned, for me I signed (for OM).

"I can say that it was here that I was well and that I wanted to flourish here."
