Olympique Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda insists he has no regrets trying his luck in England.

Mandanda had a year at Crystal Palace last season, a spell which saw him lose his place in the France squad.

He returned to OM over the summer and reflected yesterday: "I do not regret the season in England because I had always dreamed of playing in the Premier League.

"At least, today, I know that I can stop my career without saying to myself 'F***, I regret not having tried that experiment'.

"And, in addition, I returned to Marseille. I left OM when the club was not necessarily good and I was a little worn out. It was the right time to leave. Now, I come back as 'fresh' for a new story."
