Marseille 1-0 Chelsea: Frenchmen deny Chelsea perfect group stage
MARSEILLE: Olympique Marseille have denied reigning English champions Chelsea the perfect Champions League group stage.
The Blues had won their previous five encounters in Europe but fell into their league habits which have seen them not record a win in their past four domestic outings.
Chelsea were lethargic and lacklustre and were beaten by an 81st minute goal from Brandao who got on the end of a Ramires deflection to net from six yards.
The win edged OM into the Round of 16, pushing them three points clear of Spartak Moscow who won in Slovakia, as Chelsea remained top but unimpressive leading into the second stage.

lmao...united4ever...what a gloryhunter..if you have even kept up with the footballing world in the last 3 years you would see that chelsea has hardly spent money in the last couple transfer windows. You're just a pathetic united fan using the same line people were using 6-7 years ago...its old and doesnt even hold true to its meaning..open your eyes...and dont talk about FA cups because in the last 4 years chelsea has won it 3 times...and one was against united..i know you still rememeber that drogba flick over van der sar in ET....because i know i do :)
no sympathy for chelshit-they're just a bunch of arrogant cocks who think think they can win everything when they can only win the prem league every 4 for 5 years if lucky (like last season) and the occasional FA cup despite the endless amounts of money abromovich has spent try and buy the biggest trophies-just shows money can't buy everything
