Marsch: Chivas USA disappointed, upset

At the 89th minute mark in their game against Real Salt Lake, Chivas USA players and coaching team thought they may have created the great escape. "For a moment it was going to be one of those games where we escaped ... and put ourselves in a good spot going home. But one play on a throw-in and we fall asleep for a second and it's 1-0," Chivas USA coach Preki said. "We're in the same spot last year going home and hopefully it will be different for us."

Chivas USA midfielder Jesse Marsch was also in the team last year that were eliminated from the play offs at this stage.

"They came after us hard. They pressured us hard, elevation becomes a factor when you are chasing the game. We were two minutes away from accomplishing what you set out to do when you go on the road," Marsch said. "It's unfortunate and we're disappointed and upset but it's halftime right now and we're going home. You'd have to score a goal anyway so we're going to take it to them at home like they took it to us here."

Chivas USA fans will not want any kind of Déjà vu when Real Salt Lake face Chivas USA next weekend at The Home Depot Centre in Los Angeles.
