Marotta says Juventus won't pay over odds for young Italian talent

Juventus GM Beppe Marotta says they won't pay over the odds for young Italian players.

Siena striker Mattia Destro and new PSG signing Marco Verratti have both been linked with Juve.

"We are proponents of players made in Italy, but one must be cautious in their valuations, because players like Destro and Verratti are very young," said Marotta.

"The market has changed, there is an inverse process - it's bad, but it should stimulate the creativity of the club, which should then create a new model, which can allow it to remain competitive."
