Marotta confident new board will rebuild Juventus

Juventus GM Beppe Marotta has outlined how the new board intends to rebuild the crisis club.

Marotta was asked to reveal who has settled him in to life in Turin.

"The President above all," he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Andrea Agnelli is young, but he has been around football since he was a young lad, that is since he started coming to watch Juventus together with his father and his uncle. The return of an Agnelli is a sign that the club believes in the project.

"The greatness of the club is not only granted by the technical level of the players. Spending is not enough to have success. The added value comes from the culture that the club transmits to individuals: the sense of belonging, the spirit of competition and the desire to always improve oneself.

"Once that is obtained, you also derive discipline. And you'll see that Del Neri is the right man in the right place. We are working to prepare of a competitive team, but we need patience. Never lose sight of the financial parameters, and after the cyclone that was Calciopoli, it would be tough for anyone to re-emerge."
