Juventus GM Beppe Marotta admits their transfer market work this season has been hindered by tight finances.
Andrea Barzagli has arrived from Wolfsburg for just 300,000 and Luca Toni picked up an injury in his second game after the move from Genoa.
He said: "This is a year of great economic difficulty for the club and there will be a consistent loss. Unfortunately we have been unlucky with so many injuries to the forwards.
"We can rule out a headline-grabbing January buy, even if we remain vigilant on the market for other options. We do intend to take up our options on Fabio Quagliarella and Alberto Aquilani, but the price-tags are negotiable."
