Manchester United midfielder Marnick Vermijl has big hopes for next season.

The teenage Belgian aims to be part of United's preseason tour squad of the USA.

"I've won everything we could win with the reserves," said Vermijl. "I almost didn't miss a minute. Right back, left back, left midfield, they have played me in different positions. All in all I can look back on my season with pride.

"(Sir Alex) Ferguson has told me recently that I still need to make progress. I am now in my last contract year. Its an important season, which will decide my future."
