Lazar Markovic has hit out at Liverpool over their asking price for his sale.
Markovic, a £20million signing from Benfica in 2014, hasn't played for the Reds in almost three years.
The 24-year-old has been on loan at Anderlecht since January, and scored his first goal for the club in the 2-1 defeat to Genk at the weekend in the Belgian league play-offs.
“They asked for an unrealistic transfer fee and would not let me go permanently, even though I didn't play there anymore," Markovic told Voetbal Krant.
“This goal is to show Liverpool that I'm still alive and I am still the same good footballer they bought."
