Markovic calls for patience at Liverpool - 'It will take a little time'

Liverpool youngster Lazar Markovic has told fans he needs time to prove himself.

The 20-year old Serbian winger joined the Reds from Benfica for £20million in the summer and has so far made six appearances in all competitions including four starts.

Markovic admits he hasn't made the most impressive start to life at Anfield but is confident that he will soon adjust to English football and improve out of sight as his debut season progresses.

"You know how things go in football, I'm getting there and adjusting well," Markovic told Mondo.

"It will take a little more time, but, all in all, I feel OK.

"I feel great there and everybody has been great with me. I could not wish for more. I'm happy and that is the most important thing.

"My teammate is the legendary Steven Gerrard, the fans love me and Anfield is great. But, as I said, I just need a little bit more time."
