Mario Gomez has revealed he rejected an offer from Real Madrid to sign for Fiorentina this summer. The former Bayern Munich striker admits he fielded an offer from Real before putting pen to paper on a deal with Fiorentina.
"I was flattered because my whole family are fans of Real Madrid," said Gomez, who admitted speaking with Real coach Carlo Ancelotti.
"I thanked him for his interest, but told my advisor I just wanted to go to Florence."
