Marino: Genoa saved me from being my daughter's taxi driver!

New Genoa coach Pasquale Marino is delighted to be back in work.

Marino was drafted in this week after a 6-1 defeat to Napoli prompted the sacking of Alberto Malesani.

"I could've played for Genoa in 1982, but they told me I would only be signed in case of relegation. Fortunately for them, they survived in Serie A," Marino revealed to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I've already viewed some Genoa games this season, while I had others sent to me on DVD. Now I can abandon the 'job' of being a taxi driver for my daughter and concentrate on work!"
