Pasquale Marino is excited by the potential of the Parma squad he has inherited.
Marino was appointed yesterday in place of Francesco Guidolin who joined Udinese after nearly two years at the Ennio Tardini.
Interviewed on Parma's official website, Marino said: "It's an important place and a splendid city.
"I came here because there is a group of directors who evidently have confidence in what I have done and what I can do.
"Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi already came looking for me three years ago, but only half an hour before I signed for Udinese."
