Central Coast Mariners can tonight confirm talented midfielder Mustafa Amini has been transferred to German Bundesliga Champion BVB Borussia Dortmund.

As part of the transfer arrangements, Amini will be instantly loaned back to the Mariners from tonight until 31 May 2012, allowing him to represent the Central Coast in the 2011/12 Hyundai A-League season as well as the group stage of the 2012 AFC Champions League.

The transfer creates a win win situation for all parties involved, with Amini able to pursue his dreams of playing football for a European heavyweight while at the same time spending another critical year developing under the guidance of Mariners boss Graham Arnold.

An ecstatic Amini today expressed his appreciation that the Mariners and Dortmund were able to arrive at such a fantastic outcome.

"I'd like to thank Peter Turnbull and Graham Arnold at the Mariners for working on this with Dortmund," Amini said.

"I'm really excited to be joining Dortmund, they're a big club with amazing supporters."
