The Central Coast Mariners motivating force, captain Alex Wilkinson has signed with the club for a further two seasons. In great news for Mariners fans and officials alike, the 24-year old has agreed to terms and will remain with the club despite his name being involved in recent transfer gossip. Mariners Chief Executive Lyall Gorman was thrilled by Wilkinson's commitment. "Today is a very significant day for the Mariners - Alex has been the subject of some transfer speculation for the past few weeks and we're absolutely delighted that a player and character of such quality has agreed to stay with the Mariners for the long-term," Gorman said.
