Mariners go to Mars for sponsorship deal

Current A-League leaders Central Coast Mariners have extended their front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Mars Food Australia’s Masterfoods brand, reports SportsPro.

The new agreement, which runs until the end of the 2013/14 season, takes the partnership into its ninth year. The company has sponsored the team ever since the inaugural A-League season in 2005/06.

Central Coast Mariners chairman Peter Turnbull said: “Mars Food Australia’s sponsorship of the Central Coast Mariners Football Club has been win-win since day one.

“For us, their support means so much more than merely the presence of the Masterfoods logo on our kits. Mars Food Australia assist us in raising the profile of football on the Central Coast and enhancing our Club’s reputation locally, nationally and internationally.”

Mars Food Australia’s chief financial officer Andrew Poll added: “The professionalism of the club’s management, coaches, players and support staff are a credit to our local community and will ensure their continued success on the field. We look forward to another successful season in 2013/14.”
