Mariano Diaz struck again for Real Madrid Castilla in victory over Leioa.

Castilla kept up the pressure on Barakaldo in their chase for top spot after beating Leioa at the Di Stéfano with a Mariano Diaz goal in the closing stages.

The Whites enjoyed the first chances of the clash, with their direct play and pressuring of their opponents paving the way to a 1-0 lead. It was in the 12th minute, when Tejero crossed from the right and Goiko, in an attempt to avoid a strike from Cedrés, turned the ball into his own net.

Sota made it 1-1 with a strike from the edge of the area in the 24th minute.

However, on 86 minutes Mariano capitalised on a gap in the Leioa defence and latched on to a Martin Odegaard pass to score his 23rd goal of the season and seal the three points for the academy side.
