Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is set to feature for the U21s tomorrow.
The Argentina international took part in the Copa America this summer and was therefore given an extended rest upon the tournament's completion.
Asked if it is hard to provide all of his players with game time when the U21s do not have a competitive fixture scheduled for the next month, manager Louis van Gaal told reporters: “You are right that is a problem.
“The only way is to play matches in the second team because that is the first step to coming back, so now seven or eight players have to play against Ajax, their second team, on Thursday because they also need to play 90 minutes," he continued. “Rojo shall also play 60 minutes."
