Sacked Watford boss Marco Silva is chasing money he feels he's owed.
The Times says Silva believes that he is entitled to £750,000, or six months' salary, plus additional compensation.
His contract is understood to have had a break clause after a single year.
Watford are reluctant to bow to the 40-year-old's demands after his flirtations with Everton where the club turned down four offers of compensation.
The club believe Silva breached his contract by talking to the Toffees without their permission and then pushed for moved despite the Hertfordshire side deciding he had to stay for the rest of the season.
