Marcelo hands Real Madrid coach Zidane another setback

Real Madrid have lost Marcelo for a month.

It was confirmed on Friday morning that Marcelo, who was injured against Real Betis, has suffered a grade 2 fibrillation on the back of the biceps of the left leg.

The Brazilian will be out for about a month, pending the evolution of the injury.

It follows a dreadful September in which Karim Benzema was the first to fall, suffering a hamstring injury in their first week back following the international break against Levante.

In the following match, Mateo Kovacic succumbed to a muscular problem during their 3-0 win over APOEL Nicosia with the Croatian playmaker not expected to return for another eight weeks.
