Real Madrid wing-back Marcelo praised their fringe players for victory at Sporting Gijon.

Real leaned on several squad players for the 3-2 win.

And Marcelo said afterwards: "There is never an easy match. We've not had much time to rest and we´ve given everything again in a very difficult game. The players who have come in today have been phenomenal and that is what makes the team great.

"There is almost no time to rest. We are fine physically, and working hard, but there are a lot of difficult game to come and it´s normal that we get tired mentally. Isco has been very good and will be happy for the goals but more so because of the result. Everyone has fought until the end."
